We are pleased to announce our next neighborhood meeting will be Monday, May 22, at 6:30 pm, at the Austin Public Library branch at 5500 Manchaca Road.
Our featured speaker will be Delia Garza, City Council Member for Austin’s District 2.
Council Member Garza will discuss how you and APNA can work with the City to ensure continued funding for our local priorities, including the 2017-18 city budget and future city bonds.
If you care about our parks, sidewalks, flood mitigation, or the many other things the City pays for, then you should definitely join us!
We will also have a presentation from members of Wildflower Church who have offered to help us block-walk the neighborhood this summer to expand involvement in the neighborhood association.
Finally, we will have updates about Armadillo Park, Odom School Park, and our other projects.
Hope to see you there!
We love our neighborhood and want it to be great, and we can do more to make it great when more people are actively involved.
Therefore, we created the following prize to encourage more people to attending our member meetings.
Win a free Will package
Everyone should have a Will, especially people with children or grandchildren. (Read: Top 3 reasons everyone needs a Will)
At our May 22 meeting, APNA members who attend will be invited to put their names in a hat to win a free Will package. The winner can either accept the Will package themselves or transfer it to a friend or family member.
The documents will be drafted by neighborhood president Brian McGiverin, who is an attorney.
